Why did you start?
We started Backwoods 2 years after we opened The Carson General Store. My brothers and I grew up brewing and decided to start a small brew pub next to our grocery store. Little did we know, our love for brewing beer would grow the business into what it is today.
What was the inspiration behind opening your brewery?
The love of beer making and comradery
What kinds of beers do you create and what makes them unique?
We create a little bit of everything. We have a focus on Northwest style beer but love to make it all.
How much do you produce each year?
Around 6,000 BBLs
What is your most popular beer and why?
Top seller is our Logyard IPA
What is your favorite activity to do in the Gorge?
Doing anything outside with family and friends.
What are your annual events?
Logtoberfest is one of our local events we help put together with the Skamania County Chamber. We also like to support the Blues Brews and BBQs that is held at the Skamania county fair gounds.
